There should beno doubt about our absolute commitment to education with $64.1 billion outlined for schools in the Budget forward estimates. Despite the ridiculous claims made by Opposition Education Spokesperson Christopher Pyne in the Daily Telegraph today that the Gillard Government is cutting education funding in the Budget, there are no cuts to school funding whatsoever and we're not taking out' any money. Funding will increase year on year and schools will start benefiting straight away and continue to as the funding grows.
